I'm not trying get around the_dunk_tank's rule 8 with this post- loathsome as both these guys are, I think this exchange actually does illustrate a real tension and contradiction within American reactionaries and within American capitalism. The petty-bourgeois tyrant wants the most exploitable worker and the white lumpen-prole feels entitled to be a labor aristocrat. Interesting and unresolvable contradiction that exemplifies why fascism is ultimately unworkable.

I really like it when conservatives talk about “their jobs” being “stolen” by immigrants, as if the slaughterhouse and picking fruit in 120 degree weather with little protection are highly coveted jobs by Americans. These jobs are looked down upon as for reserved for uneducated, unskilled people, but when lower class people take up those jobs, Americans still get pissed off lol.

My dad and grandpa were those immigrants lol they told me I had to figure something out because that shit sucks. Unfortunately best I could come up with is tradesman. Definitely a step up but nothing to write home about.

I love how it's always "immigrants stole our jobs" and never "the rich CEO hired the cheap labor".
