In the original draft (which was essentially preppies/bros vs. weird nerds, with no magic dogs), Daphne was Doug. As such, Daphne is canonically trans.

Modern version, I take it? I always think of the 70s version of him. Modern version is presumably a boring old straight guy.

Oh, the live action movie one! Yeah, he's most definitely a straight guy.

It's 30+ years between the OG version and that movie but 20+ years from the movie to now, though.
