Straight up I happened to be going the same direction as a trans woman on public transit yesterday and it kinda made my week? Like, got off the train at the same stop and then transferred to the same bus (except I got on at a different stop because I didn't know about a construction detour) and she was like "hello again" and it made me so happy (also nervous but thats just me). Just noticing each other in public is weirdly powerful. I still think about an androgynous person in a dress low key looking like a pirate that I saw months ago at a coffee shop one night. It really does make a huge difference
