I think the AW11 MR2 is one of the best looking cars of all time. I went to look at a red one to buy but my head touched the ceiling when sitting normally, and that specific example was in rough shape. I ended up with a Miata instead.
I’m 6’3” and delivered a red AW11 600 miles (including 200 through NH and VT mountains) for a friend. If it didn’t have a sunroof I wouldn’t have fit, and I couldn’t wear a baseball cap without risking the button pressing into my skull.
Still worth it, but I was definitely sore after 10-12 hours. If I had the means I’d definitely consider an SW20 and especially a Turbo. It was the best handling little car since my Scirocco (which are loads roomier BTW).
