No you’re right, that was a bit insensitive of me. I edited my original comment.
We make jokes about how people brush aside everything Bush did, so you're good. Just can't ever be too sure when I see someone from a different instance since some people really do unironically think that the war crimes that Bush committed are just merely something that can be brush aside as a difference of opinion.
