Prison isn’t funny. Glamorising crime or the degenerate behaviour of the underclasses isn’t funny or clever either. It’s fucking sad that society has made huge sections see crime as a viable option.

If you followed the show you would see it for one is a comedy and also adresses the causes behind the behaviour namely single parent families lacking support and in the case of Jock, an abusive alcoholic father who does not provide a safe space or nurture their childs innate abilities.

It is not a set of instructions. If you watched Top Boy and wanted to sell drugs then you missed the point.

Fiction is what it is, pure elitism if you think the masses cant decide what they want outside of after school specials

Indeed! Porridge and Only Fools And Horses were wildly irresponsible programmes and did irreparable harm to society.

I never watched those, thanks.

You've never watched two of the most celebrated and successful British sitcoms of all time?

I never cared to, for more than a few minutes, thanks.

Many things are popular but that doesn’t magically elevate them to actual greatness beyond ‘mass appeal’.

Smoking was very popular, yet I always found it revolting to be near.

You must be an absolute hoot at funerals.

A real stand up comic at the casket.
