Even as late as the mid 2010s (when I last lived there and before the switch to digital television) those channels were a mixture of anime, football (soccer) talk shows, infomercials, B-movies and sometimes low-budget regional programming.

You just unlocked a memory of mine where I watched DBZ in Italian in a hostel, while having a meal of a grocery store sandwich and a Weihenstephaner, over there during some travel I did in the early 2010s lol.
