Now that the old Hexbear fork has been officially abandoned, this community will be used as a space for meta-discussion on the site itself.

MODERATORS

db0 and Unruffled have both been banned for reactionary behavior and, in the case of the former, DM harassment.

Due to these irreconcilable differences we thought it only right to allow the community to weigh in on defederating immediately.

According to this person "tankie" is anyone that criticizes the privilege of white westerners in the imperial core who have been privileged and comfortable their entire lives off of the backs of colonized people.

Further context can be found in this thread

As always, use dean-smile to vote for federation and dean-frown to vote for defederation.

I have a dbzer0 account to use for getting piracy info but I don't go there regularly because the place is full of AI fake art and shitlibs. old.reddit-logo /r/piracy is somehow better than dbzer0 because at least it doesn't have the AI shit and has some rad people on it. I say defed. People can go to dbzer0 for their piracy needs, and we do have a piracy comm here which we could try to make it a good resource for piracy for comrades instead.

EDIT: I have been informed we do not actually have a piracy comm. I still support defederating on the grounds that a space run by fascists (dbzer0) is only going to get more fascist, but I would like us to have a piracy comm. I unfortunately do not have the time to moderate it so I cannot be the change I wish to see in Hexbear.
