Funny thing about your run of the mill bruises: poking them is one thing, but massaging the blood away from the center will often enough, lessen the healing time by a great deal. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ

I don't believe this is the case. A bruise is caused by damaged capillaries and vessels. Massaging them would just force more blood into the surface tissue worsening the bruise, no? I tried to find information on the subject, but it seems pretty limited.
