I don't want to discourage anyone from seeking therapy, but I have pretty much had universally bad experiences with therapists my entire life. Some have been actively harmful. And they are expensive. Maybe it's better outside of the USA.
Also most people I know who talk about therapy a lot are self absorbed people who actually haven't gotten any better.
I actually started to just do self therapy. I even have an audio recorder. I will talk through things a lot. And I do a lot of reading and workbooks.
Honestly professional therapy is just too expensive now. I cannot afford it.
I'm genuinely glad it helps you but ngl using chatgpt as a therapist would make my mental health immeasurably worse. Just the thought of it pains me, to say the least.
