Image includes a glass of beer and pizza on a wooden board

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 5 points 2 years ago (2 children)

My wife and kids call me a Brunswick hipster for eating off the chopping board.

I didn't want to dirty another plate

[–] Goddess_Amaterasu@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago

Nothing wrong with eating it on the chopping board. Makes it fancy looking. And I was being a little descriptive (remember to add descriptions for pics posted)

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

we want plates! (also I feel called out, often eating off a chopping board and living in brunswick... get out of my head bro!)

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Hahaha

As a suburbanite, we poke fun in inner city hipsters but emulate them in silence.

The beer is super hipster too, I'm sure you haven't heard of it

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Are... are you trying to out hipster me? Bruh, I have a merch hoodie for Inner North Brewery, my local. I dont know if that is hipster, I may just want to brag, because it's actually a really great hoodie!!

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago

Are you assuming the beer is local?

Oh you sweet summer child.

For real, merch hoodies are fucking awesome most times.

Presentation: 8/10 (the contrasting angle of the bench, board and pizza work well, but the spacing of the beer glass is wrong)
Toppings: 8/10 (I can't give you 10 as I can't identify all of the toppings)
Roundness: 7/10 (I estimate 70% roundness)

Total score: 23/10 looks great, I hope you enjoyed it!

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago

T'was indeed good

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oohh looks interesting! I agree with Studchad.

Remove the olives!

Still giving you a 10 out of 10 for that marvellous creation.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Black Spanish olives in brine are top tier. All others are gross

[–] cuavas@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Kalamata is the superior olive!

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 1 points 2 years ago

You're entitled to your wrong opinion.

Greeks can grill and do seafood, but olives....not so much

[–] anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Yum! Is that artichoke hearts? And did you make it yourself?

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Yes and yes.

The dough is a family recipe I got the from the net.

The artichoke hearts are grilled and marinate in oil from a wog shop.

[–] anotherspringchicken@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Delicious! I also rate it 23/10, but politely request no crab meat on my serve, thanks 😊

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago

Of course.

I cater to vegetarians and vegans upon request.

And other preferences as well.... except the gluten free crowd. I'm sorry for their condition, but cannot abide.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Here we go. Looks like artichoke, tomato, cheese mushrooms and Spanish black olives. (Uneven spray of olives, base looks a little rough, minus anchovies. I'll have to deduct a point) 4/5 yum yums. Well done. 👍

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 6 points 2 years ago (2 children)

There's some crab meat there too

Yeah the roundness was an issue, but fuck it....it's good

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

Fuck yeah. It doesn't matter what it looks like as long as it's edible. You're not an artiste.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

The family enjoyed theirs too

5 wins all around

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

That's it. I must add I don't even make pizza bases. I just use lebanese bread. Hahaha.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

An honourable, but inferior substitute.

We only make the dough cause it's dead shit easy in a bread maker

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago

True. It's only because there's always a shitload in my freezer at all times and I've worked out how to make it crispy.

[–] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

My pizzas rarely achieve roundness. They still taste good though, and that's what matters.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago

Indeed

Form follows function.

Unless you're an architect, in which case your opinion doesn't matter

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I give that pizza 10/10 , or, if there were pizzas in the Shire and served at the Green Dragon 5 out of 5 hobbits. It looks like a perfect blend of toppings and the crust is perfect right to the centre of the pizza.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago
[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Remove the olives, and it'd be 10/10. As it stands, I'm deducting 1 point for being a gross olive-eater, for a respectable 9/10.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (2 children)

I'm with you most times. Black Spanish olives are the only ones I eat.

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I love them. They are my fav. Runner up are the green olives stuffed with anchovies. Get on them.

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Ain't a fan of other olives.

No matter the filling

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago (2 children)
[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Fine. I'll try them. Happy now?

I hope you and your family are. How did the burgers turn out?

[–] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago

They turned out delicious. Cooked them in the airfryer finished off in the frying pan with cheese. Ps you'll only like those olives if you love anchovies otherwise forget it. My kid goes through a jar of them.

[–] StudChud@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Nup, olives taste like all the worst parts of cum and off-butter mixed together; way too salty, way too oily, and grosssssssss

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 2 points 2 years ago

You've been tasting the wrong mix of cum and butter it seems.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

More importantly was it yummy and is it all gone?

[–] MeanElevator@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Oh yeah. It's disappeared and sitting in my belly

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 4 points 2 years ago

That’s what I like to hear 🙂
