So far there is only one confirmed human case. Rick Bright, an expert on the H5N1 virus who served on President Joe Biden's coronavirus advisory board, told me this is the crucial moment. "There's a fine line between one person and 10 people with H5N1...

This is false. There have been almost a thousand confirmed human cases of H5N1 over the past 20 years. Not saying the risk of a mutation to make it transmissible between humans doesn't exist, but there's absolutely no reason to think that has happened.

There has been only one case, in America. The author did not make that clear.

This is the second confirmed case in the US, fyi. There was one in 2022 also.
