This is false. There have been almost a thousand confirmed human cases of H5N1 over the past 20 years. Not saying the risk of a mutation to make it transmissible between humans doesn't exist, but there's absolutely no reason to think that has happened.
There has been only one case, in America. The author did not make that clear.
This is the second confirmed case in the US, fyi. There was one in 2022 also.
