Hot take Tuesday. Whenever I'm scrolling on news sites or the other place and I come across headings like "What is this thing?" or "You'll never guess what someone found in their Big Mac?" I don't want to know. I'm not clicking.

Same.

I can't be bothered with teaser headings, that includes on news articles.

@Seagoon_ @CEOofmyhouse56 And more often than not, the answer is lame.

"You'll never believe what this '90s heartthrob looks like now!"

It looks like him, but 30 years older.

And I would believe it, because he was famous 30 years ago.

"You'll never believe what the kids of this celebrity are doing now!"

Going to uni.

Because they're in their early 20s.

Celebrities with lookalike kids. Yep. That's usually how it works.

i hate news headlines

"Ukraine will get its U.S. funding. But can that turn the tide?"

and don't get me started on "hush money" 😑

I feel bad for kids who will grow up not knowing what they've missed (by extension I'd be the same, I never really experienced Australia prior to 2009 when I first arrived). The new normal....

The Age in the 80s-90s was excellent, before and after, not so good.

Piggybacking off from you I hate news articles that tease something then it ends with β€œClick here to find out!”

Pisses me off to no end.

Also I had to look up the interview news about the baby and The Project.

Sky news and News.com.au have the headlines of the β€œhost mocked for interview”

Most other news outlet are neutral with their headlines but the vitriol of sky news and News.com.au is disgusting.
