I don't understand what the issue is meant to be. The quotes that OOP gave are like... literally the definition of communism. There is no opinion on whether communism is good or bad. Is OOP complaining that learning about communism is bad?

Funny, but I read it as if the mother wrote that.

Notice the handwritten pages at the bottom. OOP's daughter was probably in a history or politics class and was taking notes on Marx.
