I saw those in New York and had to spend a minute trying to figure out if they were Avakianist cultists, trots, or CPUSA libs since they all decided to go with the same dumb recruiting blurb

I think it came originally from IMT, I'm not too studied on trotskyite lore to be 100% positive so take it with a grain of salt but I'm positive the phrase originated from the trotskyite side of the left.

I don't know about the other guys but I'm near certain cpusa started running that line around the end of last year because I remember coming across their shit and being confused about which trot org was trying to co-opt the cpusa hammer and gear and being more confused when it turned out it was cpusa trying to coopt trot language.
