Ranking by themes, enjoyment, and how well these builds are actualized, what general build is most fun in each game? An ideal case, "fun maximized" run. What are your thoughts?

FO3: Guns. Long-medium range guns. Real time combat plays like trash so max out your Agility and get used to living in VATS. Melee builds are also an option

FO4: Maximize your scrounging and take every buff that increases the amount of something you find. You're gonna need a lot of simple resources for base building, and you'll not lose stock of essentials like caps or bullets. Dealer's choice how you actually play the game, but real time aiming and shooting actually work in this one so VATS isn't essential the way it is in the other games

FNV: Weapons don't matter as much, but pick a weapons stat and live by it. Make sure Speech is one of your top skills also. Once you get to the strip you can do a lot with a speech check.

Small guns specifically. Big guns covers items like the missile launcher and flamer. The stat is boosted by your agility level.

Personally I find myself relying pretty heavily on sneak (also boosted by agility level) for the critical bonus and strength for all the hoarding I do.

I'd recommend also putting some points in either science (hacking) or lockpicking.

Definitely science over lockpicking. The Old World Blues xpac has a ton of rewards that rely on Science

I just can't be bothered with the hacking mini game

I think it's fun. Gets old when you're somewhere with a ton of locked computers. But I like the puzzle.

Fair enough. I don't know if I'm just real dumb or my dozens of mods broke something but I couldn't figure them out on occasion.

The characters would line up to indicate an answer but it wouldn't work.

I was able to do it when playing Fallout 3 and NV but 4 was giving me all sorts of trouble.
