So I have this inspection today, and the email said they'd be here between 12PM and 2PM.

If they arrive after this window, do I still have to let them in? πŸ˜…

Technically not, if there is an agreed window and it isn't met. But they are permitted to schedule another inspection in three weeks and you'll need to be available for it. So you'll just move the problem.

Did they turn up?

Our agents just tell us the date and let themselves in to an empty house. I think we have the right to specify a day we will be home etc, but there is honestly never a weekday where that'd be convenient so we let them do their thing.

Yeah, you don’t have to let them in if late (at least here) but it’s simpler to do so. I’ve had some dicks try to not book a window and want the whole day. Fuck off. Ditto anyone who thinks a key access is happening unless dire emergency: you are not presumed safe with the lives of our pets, knicker drawers, confidential work material, and straight up general privacy!
