Yeah, I have a similar experience with trains in Captain of Industry. It would be a massive amount of work for no significant benefit and doesn't really fit the theme of the game, but Factorio amd Satisfactory have them so they must be added.

Last I heard Satisfactory doesn't have trains. It has trucks instead.

No it definitely has trains. Maybe you're thinking of another game?
