is it just me or is the premise kind of interesting? I feel like something could be done with that
Possibly, but it would basically have to be about the thousands of years of discrimination and oppression by Homo sapiens that they would have inevitably faced. Maybe a good metaphor for racism or even ableism, but also maybe not so fun.
