“I would like subreddits to be able to be businesses if they choose,” he said, adding that’s “another conversation, but I think that’s the next frontier of Reddit.”

Which one is it? Will Reddit be a libertarian bastion of free speech and democracy, or will it be a digital platform for businesses? A subreddit run as a business cannot be democratic. I wouldn’t even care, he can make Reddit whatever he wants it to be — but he’s either dishonest or stupid if he doesn’t see the glaring contradiction (probably the former).
