The article discusses this, current white paints reflect 80-90% of sunlight. This ultra white paint is able to reflect more heat 98%.

Downsides are some ingredients are mined, but current white paint has some ingredients mined.

At what cost though? I'd bet it's more expensive than just plain white paint
