but I don’t want to change anything about this. I think it’s the most superior system and nothing else should be even remotely reformed.

Clown ass country rightfully complains about how everything is expensive and miserable and exploitative but demands that nothing gets changed otherwise companies will retaliate by rising prices artificially anyway

Conclusions. Higher prescription drug spending in the United States does not disproportionately privilege domestic innovation, and many countries with drug price regulation were significant contributors to pharmaceutical innovation.

Older study but I don’t see why it wouldn’t hold up today. Long story short, these claims are simply not true and yeah just a way for Americans to cope with being fucked over by their pharmaceutical industry.
