So what's the verdict on his death? Everyone seems to think it was foul play and that Courtney Love paid someone.

Seems that way. I literally grew up with the story being told to me that she had him whacked.
He did it, no doubt in my mind and also people should lay off Courtney Love in general, I'm sure she's kinda crappy but the shit she's gotten is too much. Same with Yoko Ono, her music is fucking weird and yeah, if you're a classic rock guy it's gonn be real far from your thing. It's not mine either but I understand the concept of experimental music and weird avante garde stuff
Actually, as a classic rock guy what I've heard of Yoko sounds kinda cool. The other classic rock guys aren't trying hard enough/are malding that the Beatles always sucked =)

ofc I don't ever trust the police but it looks like it was legit him taking his own life. The evidence around someone murdering him sounds flimsy.
