When asked about peace the EU declined to comment.

I don't think there is a posibility of peace because both sides have hard lines, so unless people in power changes that is irreconcilable. For Ukraine it's pre 2014 territory and for Russia it's complete victory or Putin is done.

So by that you mean, NATO/US have hard lines. Because why then would Zelensky express interest in meeting with Xi Jinping over peace talks?

The only people with hard lines here are NATO and the US.
