I would release outside, just so it doesn't be dumb again and get within paw-reach lol

This did remind me of a memory though,

small text wallwhen I was 15 and living with mum, we had four cats (Slim Dusty, Polly Pants-Down, Tigger, and Elvis). Tigger was a terror on the fauna, he was a little psycho leaving bodies of whatever small mammal he could on our back steps, often headless. He had no fear at all. One night mum and I were sitting outside while she has a smoke, and we see Tigger in the lawn, which has grown a bit, playing with the grass. It was very cute... Until we realised when we got closer that there was a massive motherfucker huntsman sort of in the long grass on top of it, and Tigger was just tormenting it. At one point he had this huntsman on his face like a terrifying mask. Mum and I are both arachnophobic, but we both agreed it was cruel. So with a lot of squealing and screaming we used a big Tupperware container and some sticks and corraled the huntsman into the gum tree. Tigger was very unimpressed, mum chain-smoked, and I cried a little. Stupid story, sorry for the text wall, but it makes me laugh now haha

He's out now!

Yeah despite her age Melbcat is quite a good hunter too. She's kept inside for her safety and the safety of the wildlife
