Me waiting for someone to point at any time unconditionally promising to vote Democrat has actually brought about measurable change to the Democratic Party in a positive direction.

The qualifier at the end there is because there's lots of proof that moderates/independents threatening to vote for Republicans or not vote has in fact forced measurable change out of Democrats on many occasions.
I have been thinking about this more and more lately, and I think the push needs to be for people to vote for a third party if they have the option or otherwise leave a candidate blank, not to stay home. If people just stay home, the Democrats can waive them off and keep moving the party to the right. If Genocide Joe loses because a bunch of people voted for a third party candidate to the left of Biden, they can't ignore that easily.
That's one of the merits of the "uncommitted" thing, is people are still going and voting and it's just not for Joe
