Yes. I'm definitely interested in learning more about leftism. I would identify as 50% liberal, 45% leftist, maybe 5% crazy libertarian.

An incomplete list:

Leftism

  • structural racism/sexism/etc. exists and is a serious problem that needs to be addressed
  • police as a concept needs to be completely rethought
  • we should tax the rich and give to the poor
  • free healthcare, maybe UBI even
  • The U.S. needs to stop interfering in the political systems of other countries

Libertarianism:

  • Privacy should be a human right
  • The DMCA is a disaster, DRM is evil, and copyright terms are way too long

Those two things you put under libertarianism are rather leftist, and not very libertarian as they actually practice their beliefs, see Milei

Fair enough. So maybe I'm only 4% libertarian :)

My gut response when those things are challenged is "but muh freedom!" so it certainly feels libertarian.

Also, the left-of-liberal party in my country (NDP) disagrees with me on these matters.
