Front trunk. In some EVs, there is an extra trunk under the hood, where the engine bay would be.
That's called a bonnet
The metal lid is the bonnet, the frunk is the storage compartment under the bonnet. Again, this isn't a new invention, back when old VW beetles were rear engined, people somewhat commonly called the storage compartment at the front end a frunk.
