I don't know how I feel about knowing this. Did the cons make this up or co-opt it?
They took the term from corpos that use DEI "policies" as a way to make themselves look good to libs.

Ahh. I've only ever worked for small businesses.
It's been kicked into cultural consciousness lately by (among other things)
publicly worrying that because there are black pilots and doctors, it must mean that DEI is lowering the standards for pilots and doctors, so wokeness is literally killing people. It's not even subtle racism.
