It's really funny that the artist who painted the statue of liberty seems to think it's made of solid rock or something. Tbf, I did too for some time, which made it way cooler than what it actually is.
It makes me think of the G Gundam episode where the Shining Gundam erupts from inside the Statue of Liberty lol.
I'm wondering what kinds of references were used when making some of this stuff. There's a few more NYC landmarks featured in this episode - I distinctly remember St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Flatiron building. This came out 1998-1999, so I'm guessing maybe some kind of tourist guide or stills from a film.
