Meanwhile, my government is hunting down 13 antifa activists who allegedly beat up nazis at the March of Honor, and is discussing if it's ok to extradit a nonbinary person they've already caught to Hungary, where their gender identity is not recognized and where it's a given that they would, on top of generally terrible conditions of imprisonment especially for leftist political prisoners, be subjected to massive transphobia by the prison guards. They already have another activist from Italy on trial, and her lawyer reports regular violations of her human rights by the Hungarian authorities and it's obvious she's not getting a fair trial there because she's at odds with the ruling fascist ideology.

Full, uncritical support to all imprisoned leftists, even the innocent ones.

One of the real cool things about being trans (and left) is I got a real serious fear of any sort of brush with any country's law, a fear which is entirely warranted.

Same, even when i get my papers in order and am done with bottom surgery, i can never be 100% sure if the state decides to put me into men's prison for fun, and as it is now it's almost guaranteed they would do that.

This is why it's important for activists to be aware of how their comrades' marginalizations affect them, it's an actual tactical consideration when you plan any form of direct action, no matter how mild and nonviolent.

I moved out from Hungary 12 years ago and I never want to set my foot into that hellhole again unless I need to visit my extended family. Khrushchev and the collapse of the USSR was the worse thing that ever happened to that country. Such a miserable place to live.
