It's funny because I feel like I'll never even be able to move out of my mom's house and I feel like such a shameful failure of a human being I want to die
You aren't alone in that feeling. Idk how young you are, but no matter how old it's not a shame to be supported by your family though, things are fucked for everyone but the wealthy. I've been supported by my family but even my brothers who have well paying jobs and did everything right according to society are having trouble now.
It's sad how western society has belittled family support after the age of 18... not to justify yk the shit housing prices but still...
There's some pockets where that's not the case at least, such as Italy. At the risk of exposing myself as a gigaburger, this is why my folks don't care too much that I'm in my 20s and still live with them because they've still held on to that part of the culture, but I'm deeply closeted and I want to GTFO and actually start my life in earnest, but all the somewhat good places in the US have been "invested" away, and no one is hiring.
Fuck.
My dad's dead and my mom is chill and being supported by me, but most of the guys I've dated have parents that are at least almost QAnoners or worse.
