I'm not old enough to have any huge emotional connection to the landline but I can dig it for sure. I like the internet but its really not engineered for reliability in the same way. If I could get away without having a cell phone it'd be tempting but the result would just be never talking to anyone, not nice long fulfilling conversations on the phone.
Yeah... I used to feel that way sometimes, never got into snapchat/whatever and only had a nominal social media presence. But my core friend group is all on Signal now! so I don't feel like I'm missing much
