How is this a thing in 2024 in a world super power?
It's not called "The Windy City" just because of the wind. Decades of local corruption have really sold out Chicago's infrastructure.
And let's not forget that every time the Republicans take office they cut spending for clean water programs and give it to their chums in defense.
When was the last time a Republican was in charge of Chicago? 1902?
Gotta fight that wind!
Yes, the local taxes that get redirected to federal defense. Yep, it's definitely that and not decades of local government dysfunction. /S
Tell me you don't understand how government works without telling me you don't understand how government works.
I.am specifically speaking of the clean water programs that were meant to help with the crisis of the mismanagement that was uncovered decades ago.
This has nothing to do with local taxes. And if you still think deregulating the environment at the government level is going to fix your "local corruption", nobody can help you.
You're full of shit.
Lead isn't in those kid's water because Lake Michigan is acidic or full of pollution, it's because the water treatment plant skimped on scaling agents that would create a barrier on residential supply lines.
I get that it feels good to blame the other "team" but making shit up to blame them for just reflects poorly on you.
Bruh, calm youre tits, especially when you are wrong.
For one, the first guy i replied to already made the argument about chicago selling its infrastructure.
Then I added on top that they removed regulations, exacerbating the problem. You just can't read because you probably have lead in your water lmao.
So no, I'm not full of shit. The strawman arguments you are making up are obviously full of shit, I just didn't say them
Wait, you just flat out make up unrelated shit to score political points and I'm making straw man arguments?
What planet do you live on?
Yes! They sold their roads to Chase Bank for the next 100 years for quick cash. Then chase jacked up the parking prices and made back what they paid Chicago in a few years lol.
