I need to get away for a few days maybe to think about life etc but I have a needy anxious cat that I don’t want to leave. Difficult situation when you’ve got no family and no social connections.

I get why people don’t leave abusive relationships….

Money. With money you could go to a cat friendly hotel.

There are serviced apartments that allow pets. Edit: Holy shit the prices. There are also pet friendly caravan parks if that's more tolerable and budget friendly.

It really sucks that you're in this situation, it's hard.

Ps. Because of the mention of domestic violence... if you or someone else were in a situation where they needed to leave a relationship, there are options that don't involve surrendering pets. I need people to know that. Don't wait until it's "bad enough".
