I'm assuming they just squeezed the lemon over everything after pouring the pot out, and given all the other shit that's going on there it's honestly one of the more normal things they did.

When I was growing up in poverty, a favorite meal to make myself was to cook a box of pasta, dump in a bag of frozen brussels sprouts in the last minute or so of cooking, and then mix it all together with some teriyaki sauce. Not the best or the healthiest, but it would make two meals worth of food for like $2 lol.

That's a classic. And you can swap out the sauce to change the flavour a bit if you want variety.

I'm not even willing to give them benefit of the doubt on pickles looks like these mf's boiled cucumber green beams and Brussel sprouts in there.
