George Washington was the only sitting US president to lead combat troops in the field, which he did against a group of farmers which consisted of mostly pissed off revolutionary war veterans upset about paying taxes on whiskey.
Fucking over veterans goes all the way back to the start of this great nation. It's literally what the founding father's intended.
