Basically if we lived our whole lives being shown a faked image of reality, would we ever question if more existed beyond what we see and if shown the truth, would we accept it?

They're applying this to chat, which I assume is in reference to Twitch chat or streamers in general, and I guess saying people are dumbing themselves down with media consumption instead of seeking understanding of reality? idk.
