I looked it up and xenarthra is a super order and armadillos are in xenarthra with the rest of the ones I was thinking of.

Apparently since pangolin scales are more like having fingernails all over it doesn't count as armor.

I think they mean that giant sloths are related to armadillos & pangolins

Then I’m not sure, but I thought pangolin armor was modified hair, not skin
