A show based on the big liberal revolution (you know, the
one) did inspire the aesthetics of Utena, so kinda yeah
watching rose of versailles made me go "ok i mean there's clearly some inspiration, but i wouldn't say it's that big of an inspiration - OH I JUST GOT TO THE DEZAKI VERSAILLES AND I SEE IT NOW"
It was more than a liberal one for a moment
