Jack Black's father-in-law was cool as fuck, so I hope he's at least a bit cool.

[–] WIIHAPPYFEW@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago

He's been partnering with Autism Speaks for over a decade doomjak

He was just a rehabilitated space nazi royalty guy on the last season of The Mandelorian. So i wouldn't get my hopes too far up there.

I dont think judging the beliefs of an actor based on the roles they're payed to play is a good idea tbh.

Sure, but you can judge their integrity.

[–] autismdragon@hexbear.net 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Thats actually incredibly weird to do thanks though.

lol, because Actors definitely don't monetize their reputations.

It's fair to criticize Clint Eastwood who's racist off screen and plays macho racists on screen, but jack black's obviously not a fascist royalist.

I haven't seen the show, but its a bit of a truism in the profession that the actor who has the most fun with their role is the one who plays the villain.

[–] JoeByeThen@hexbear.net 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

He wasn't the villain. He was a rehabilitated space nazi that had basically married into royalty on the planet the main characters were visiting. The latest season went on a 'feel emotions for the former space nazis' kick.

Is Hexbear doing that thing where we unironically agree with punitive justice chuds and say rehabilitation is neither possible nor a desired end again? Thats my least favorite.
