I'm more amazed about how the internet didn't change shit about majority of people's understanding of local, state, and global politics. If anything seems like made them dumber.

The ease of spreading opinions online probably ends up being even worse for knowing what is true, because for anyone powerful it is very cheap and easy to flood the internet with propaganda making everything else unsearchable and unfindable unless you stumble upon it by luck. Monetized "SEO optimization" also makes this class difference in opinion sharing much bigger
