Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

I understand we generally don’t like John Oliver around here. But a close family member and I are estranged over them falling for this sort of scam and the subsequent fallout. I’d just like more people to know about it. I think everyone here is capable of consuming this critically and separating the wheat from the chaff.

It’s not just crypto. This kind of long con can target any and all aspects of someone’s finances and is sometimes blended with more classic scams depending on who’s pulling it off. I think people being more aware in general of recognizing and preventing manipulative behavior and scammer tactics is a good thing. Stay safe, everyone.

For the benefit of a person allegedly working for pig butchers while under the duress of human trafficking, what is the best reply you could send them?

My first guess:

Tell me any information needed to help get you out of this situation and which country's embassy to send it to.

That might work. You’d just have to hope they weren’t being monitored.
