Duh, war destroys economies in any place there's all out armed combat.

But destroying infrastructure and institutions also allows a society to refresh itself, with good leadership and investment.

Post-WW2 Europe and Japan turned out well, after about a decade of struggle.

I suspect that post-invasion Ukraine will be united, motivated and succeed in improving their government and economy as well.
