The logic flaws are obvious when you flip the coin too.
The ACAB crowd and the "why do you need a gun?" crowd have a large overlapping percentage.
I personally agree with the entire left side of this meme. I feel that I am a minority though.
Never forget that gun control was a concept proliferated by a Republican (good ol' Ronny Reagan) to prevent minorities from arming themselves (the Black Panthers) against corrupt police. (LAPD and LASD)
In addition the entire premise is resting on the assumption that you will actually be able to do anything with a gun. In reality the thefts will happen when you are not at home, and statistically speaking having a gun during a robbery makes it more likely that you yourself get hurt.
Of course having guns for other reasons can make sense, but not in the case that the OP meme stipulates.
It's pretty funny, honestly, the gun haters assume anyone that believes in the 2A is an unhinged psycho that wants suitcase nukes to be legal and the people who do want suitcase nukes without a license assume anyone talking about gun control is advocating a total ban.
In my personal experience, most of the ACAB crowd I know are pro 2a. Granted, most of the ACAB crowd I know are very far left, and believe that arming minorities is important to prevent them from being pushed around by the state. They also support abolishing the police, and a minor part of that mindset is focused around self defense.
I think the divide falls moreso within the Abolish the Police vs (De)fund/reform the Police crowd.
