While I agree with the sentiment, I hate these smug, quippy cartoons and memes. You see them on both sides. I'm not "both sides"ing the politics, just these things.

I think political humor can be good. But more often than not... It's bad.

I'm hard pressed to think of a good example. They're either ad hominem, or making fun of a whole demographic, or just sad facts stated as a joke.

Predominantly rural cultures tend to not have clever jokes, just dark observations of life made palatable (although this one is clever too).

Laughing in the face of death in particular. "Sad facts stated as a joke". I am totally up for it.
