There’s only like 2 instances of communism in the show
Maybe 3 if you count the Pol Pot-esque “revolutionary” anti-colonial army that killed Kimiko’s family before grooming her into a soldier, but it was never stated what they believed.
There’s not even any metaphors analogies related to it
The organization that killed Kimiko's family was called the "Shining Light Liberation Army," so I think they were Gonzaloites.
That's what I thought but the 2nd season showed the cult as uniformly Asian and Japanese speaking. Asian Latina representation still eludes us.
