No they're not. If you want to make reference to the actual history of people who went a viking, then you can't do the "cool undercut" shit. You need that dude to have a fucked up skullet, and be wearing an old single color tunic under mail and half his weight in mismatched geegaws
Also, the Pope is a profession. There have been black Popes before, albeit really early in church history.
