That sounds plausible. I just don't get why the Russians don't take it slow, and at least try to not get all their men killed.
Not in their doctrine. Hasn't ever been. Cannon fodder is cheap and the ones who get left behind don't complain. All that matters is results and if a graveyard or two worth of people happen to die they're just good propaganda and while their bodies are fertilizing sunflowers they're praised on speeches back home for their sacrifice for the good old Mother Russia.
Western way of thinking is vastly different from their point of view and the latter has been fed to the people for centuries.
