The feedback I got with it cited the reasons why, and every single reason was accusing me either of missing out things that weren't asked for in the instructions or flat out TELLING ME I HADN'T INCLUDED THINGS I HAD INCLUDED.

FUCK PEOPLE. FUCK EVERYTHING.

Now I have to decide if I should appeal this mark and waste a ton of time trying to explain myself to these nerds, or take a mark I know is unfair and fucking my academic standing with the university (I'm back here on thin ice because I failed this degree like ten years ago so if I fail a class or get a low GPA I could be kicked out of the university)

I still most likely am going to pass easily as the rest of my marks are good, but it pisses me off because I genuinely think I did a good job on it.

I've been on both sides of this. The first time as a student I took too long to appeal and it didn't go anywhere.

The second time I was a marker (~sessional academic~) for extra cash during my office job and I spent something like a minute per 1,000 words marked, copy pasting generic shit that I had prewritten in advance because marking them properly would take you below minimum wage.

Someone appealed and my response was "yeah sure" and they got bumped up.

It was also literally impossible to fail anyway even when they submitted literally 600 words for an 8000 word assignment, I failed them (mark of 600/8000 so it was a very generous fail mark) and the lecturer reviewed it and increased the score so the student would just barely pass the subject.

I hope I get a nice marker like you when I appeal then. It sounds like a time consuming job for sure.

That kind of makes me less pissed off because I can understand trying to mark a ton.
